Class II Biohazard BSC (biological safety cabinets) supply the workspace with a GMP grade A laminar flow and are designed to protect both sterile products and operator/environment during handling of pathogens. Class II biohazard BSC are designed and built to performance requirements of the EN-12469:2000 European Standard, with 70% of the air re-circulated via the main Class H14 HEPA filter within the cabinet, whilst the remaining 30% is discharged through an exhaust Class H14 HEPA filter.
Sterility is achieved through the Laminar Flow over the complete working area, the use of HEPA filters and of optional U.V. antibacterial lamp. The high purity level of the air, GMP grade A, guarantees the product sterility.
Safety has been considered as the primary factor in the design of this cabinet, thus any potentially hazardous condition will be signaled by an alarm. Each alarm/warning events will be displayed on the LCD as text messages.
Ergonomic design guarantees the complete access to and visibility of the working area and the possibility to work in sitting position (stool). Easy operations for cleanliness and maintenance.
